Whenever one visits Michigan, they can expect to find many beautiful and significant trademarks that make the mitten state so great. With various cities and hot spots to explore, it’s really hard to easily get bored. One particular idea that interests many people is food. We all love to eat at a restaurant that offers not only the best food around but also an eatery that is unique in its own kind of way. The Landing, located in the far northern part of Michigan, is such a place where one can not only treat themselves to the fantastic food and drinks but also enjoy the lavish interior design made completely out of hemp.

Hemp, in case you are not familiar with it, is a type of cannabis plant that is grown for the fiber and seeds, according to the National Hemp Association. Now hemp is not the same thing as marijuana. Both plants are from the same species but are more like cousins. The most well-known product is Fiber, and the word `hemp’ can mean the rope or twine which is made from the hemp plant, as well as just the stalk of the plant which produced it.

Designhaus was able to think creatively and incorporate hemp into many of the items used to construct The Landing.  Believe it or not, even the chefs included hemp on the menu. The NHA states that hemp seed is a highly nutritious source of protein and essential fatty oils. Though many people may think of hemp as just a plant, it can be used for so much more.
