Growing up in the rapidly growing city of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Paul Paige witnessed all the new growth of the city all around him. He and his family were the first to move into a home in a new subdivision. A new elementary school and junior high school, which he attended, were built just blocks from his home. Seeing all of this sparked an interest and fascination with the construction process.
At the young age of ten, Paul’s father came across a drafting board. Knowing his son’s talent for graphics arts and passion for drawing, he purchased the board. Shortly afterward, Paul entered the new junior high school which offered mechanical drafting courses. Paul attended drafting courses for 3 years and continued throughout high school with mechanical and architectural drafting. He quickly learned of the two disciplines, architecture was far more interesting.
Paul went on to attend the University of Detroit and graduated with a professional degree in Architecture. After graduation, he spent a year working full time for a small residential architect which he had interned for while in college. Having had a passion for home construction from his early childhood, he left the firm and earned a building license. With his father and uncle, Paul started building homes and retail projects for several years until a time came when he decided to expand his knowledge and skills in an architectural office.
After achieving his NCARB certification, Paul moved on to larger firms doing a wide variety of projects which include industrial, retail, hospitality, and education.
Today, Paul continues to work at a job he is highly passionate about in architecture. He spends his non-work time on his other passions; the outdoors and Jeeping.
